SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO FILL ONE VACANT POSITION ON THE
AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD
DATE: August 24, 2020
BACKGROUND: Policies and Procedures for Boards, Commissions, and Committees adopted
by City Council require that appointments be made at the second regular City Council meeting in
June.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Bart Jamar was appointed to serve on the Airport Advisory Board, and
subsequently notified me that he has a conflict of interest. This leaves one vacant position on the
board. Those who made application to the board are George Leonberger II, Jeff Sugg, David
Taylor, M.D., and William Tolleson. (A copy of the applications, as well as the Tally Sheet will
be included in your agenda packet)
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Appoint one board member to fill the vacant position on the Airport
Advisory Board.
