1990-099-RES WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Paris has identified a need for security services and

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Paris has
identified a need for security services and procured a grant
to fund the same; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been requested to furnish
said security services through the Paris Police Department;
and,
WHEREAS, an Interlocal Governmental Agreement for
Security Services in the form of Exhibit A attached hereto
would satisfy the Housing Authority of the City of Paris'
request at a cost of $60,000.00 annually, which is within the
grant budget; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that security services in the form of additional police
services be extended to the Housing Authority of the City of
Paris, upon the terms and conditions stated in the agreement
attached hereto as Exhibit A, and that the Mayor of the City
of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
Interlocal Governmental Agreement for Security Services with
the Hous ing Author i ty of the City of Par is, in the form of
Exhibit A attached hereto.

INTERLOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR SECURITY SERVICE
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND
THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LAMAR
THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal
corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, Eric S.
Clifford, duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY and the
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS, a public housing
authority, acting by and through its Executive Director,
Becky McDowell, hereinafter called PHA, do hereby contract
and agree as follows:
1. CITY covenants and agrees that it will furnish
security service in addition to ordinary police patrol
service currently furnished to PHA to consist of two (2)
police patrol privates with personal communication packs, and
one fully equipped and marked police patrol unit for two
thousand sixteen (2,016) hours for the first annual period.
Hours to be scheduled weekly as agreed by the chief, Paris
Police Department and the Executive Director of the Housing
Author i ty of the City of Par is, and schedule may be amended
upon agreement of the parties hereto.
2. PHA agrees to pay and CITY agrees to accept
$60,000.00 for the first year of said service.

3. This agreement shall be effective and the term
thereof shall commence on the first day of the month
beginning more than thirty (30) days after notice is received
by CITY from PHA that PHA is desirous of the service
described above and has received approval for described
service and funding for said service.
4. In the event that PHA desires continued security
serv ice beyond the end of th is agr eement, PHA sha 11 give
written notice to the CITY on or before ninety (90) days
before the termination date of this agreement of its desire
for such service for an additional term, and upon receipt of
said notice, CITY will deliver to PHA within thirty (30) days
the annual cost at which it will receive service, and
thereafter on or before 30 days from the termination date of
this agreement, PHA will execute the agreement for service
for an additional annual term upon the same terms and
conditions as stated herein at the cost stated in the new
agreement.
