SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2020-21 BUDGET
DATE: September 14, 2020
BACKGROUND: A public hearing on the proposed City budget is required by Section 50 of the
City Charter and Section 102.006 of the Local Government Code. The proposed budget was filed
with the City Clerk on August 10. On August 24 the City Council approved a resolution calling
for a public hearing on the 2020-21 City budget on September 14. A legal notice advertising the
public hearing was published in the Paris News. A copy of the proposed budget was placed on
the City website.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The City Council needs to hold the public hearing on the 2020-21 City
budget on September 14, 2020.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the public hearing on the proposed 2020-21 City budget.
