1990-094-RES WHEREAS, the Lamar County Chamber of Awareness Task Force is desirous of applying Alcohol Abuse RESOLUTION NO. 90-094 WHEREAS, the Lamar County Chamber of Awareness Task Force is desirous of applying Alcohol Abuse Prevention Demonstration Community Partnership Program; and, Commerce Drug for Drug Use and Grants In The WHEREAS, the initial goal of the task force is to organize and support a cooperative, county-wide effort to reduce substance abuse through education, publicizing of treatment resources and encouragement of citizen support of law enforcement; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris to join with the Drug Awareness Task Force of Lamar County to create a coalition dedicated to prevention of substance abuse in our community; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that a letter to the OSAP Programs joining the Drug Awareness Task Force of Lamar County to create a coalition dedicated to the pr event ion of subs tance abuse in our communi ty in the form of Exhibit A, Attached hereto, is approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Paris said coalition letter in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A.
