1989-148-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE FACT THAT LOT 14
RESOLUTION NO. 89-148
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has been made
aware of the fact that Lot 14, City Block 156 and Lot 1, City
Block 156A, within the corporate limits of the City of Paris,
have a zoning classification of Heavy Industrial District (HI),
with the property immediately to the North being zoned Multi-
Family Dwelling District (MF-l), the property to the East being
zoned Multi-Family Dwelling District (MF-l) and Commercial
District (C), the property to the West being Two-Family Dwelling
District (2-F), and the remainder of the property on the South
being zoned Heavy Industrial District (HI); and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
citizens of Paris that such zoning classification be reviewed by
the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris to
consider changing such zoning classification to a Public Land and
Institutions District (PLI) , and in the event that it finds the
same should be changed that such recommendation should be made to
the City Council for final action; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a public hearing be
set before the Planning and Zoning Commission at 7:00 o'clock
P.M., in the City Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the
2nd day of January, 1990 and before the City Council at 5:15
o'clock P.M. on the 4th day of January, 1990; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the matter of zoning classification change on Lot 14, City
Block 156 and Lot 1, City Block 156A, from a Heavy Industrial
District (HI) to a Public Lands and Institution District (PLI) ,
be, and the same is hereby referred to the Planning and Zoning
Commission of the City of Paris for its recommendation concerning
the proper zoning of the same; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and
before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris at
7:00 o'clock P.M., in the City Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
Texas, on the 2nd day of January, 1990 and a public hearing be
held by and before the City Council of the City of Paris at 5:15
o'clock P.M. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas on the
4th day of January, 1990, said public hearings to be held con-
cerning appropriate zoning on said property.
