SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO FILL ONE VACANT POSITION ON THE
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
DATE: September 28, 2020
BACKGROUND: Policies and Procedures for Boards, Commissions, and Committees adopted
by City Council require that appointments be made at the second regular City Council meeting in
June.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Cody Adams was appointed to serve on the Planning & Zoning
Commission on July 2, 2020, and subsequently notified staff that he is moving from Paris. This
leaves one vacant position on the board.
City staff has advertised the vacancy through local media and reached out to the two remaining
applicants who applied in June. Applicants include James O'Bryan (applied in June), Michael
Mosher, and Ben Vaughan.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Appoint one board member to fill the vacant position on the Planning
& Zoning Commission.
