1989-131-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL IS DESIROUS OF ERECTING A GROUND LEVEL CITY COUNCIL ROOM
RESOLUTION NO. 89-131
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, is desirous
of erecting a ground level City Council Room; and,
WHEREAS, there is and will continue to be in the future, a
need for expanded parking area for City and employee vehicles;
and,
WHEREAS, property contiguous to the City Hall complex has
been offered for sale at fair market value; and,
WHEREAS, in keeping with
desirable that said property
present and future uses; and,
prudent planning practices,
be acquired for City of

WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris, Michael E.
Malone, did execute a Commercial Earnest Money Contract for said
property and it would be appropriate that such action be
ratified; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Commercial Earnest Money Contract between Albert Wilson
and Paul Wilson and the City of Paris dated October 12, 1989,
executed by Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris,
for Lot 5A, City Block 179A, be and the same is hereby approved
as to form and the execution of the same by Michael E. Malone,
City Manager, is in all things ratified.
