1989-110-RES WHEREAS, COP HAS FOG-SEALING AND RESTRIPPING OF PARIS
RESOLUTION NO.
89-110
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has
for fog-sealing and restripping of
Paris, Texas; and,
been made aware of the need
Runway 17/35 at Cox Field,
WHEREAS, the critical weather conditions necessary to
accomplish the fogsealing and restripping and the deadline set by
the Federal Aviation Administration for the accomplishment of the
task requires that this project be completed in the shortest
possible time and requires the declaration of an emergency; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the fog-sealing and restripping of runway 17/35 at Cox
Field, Paris, Texas, is found to be and does justify the
declaration of an emergency and the same is hereby so declared;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City staff is hereby
authorized to exercise the emergency powers as the same relate to
budgeting, expenditures, procurement and bid process with the
only requirement being that the City Council of the City of Paris
be kept abreast of the progress of the project.
