Meeting Minutes
September 16, 2020
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:02 p.m.
Present:
Board members present were Carol James, Jennifer Cullum, Steve Hellmann, Melanie Loughmiller, Lauren
Matthews, Marilyn Threadgill, and director Priscilla McAnally. Eva Dickey was absent.
L Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the August meeting were approved with a correction of adding Linda Knox to
those that were present.
II. New Business:
Tracy Hoffart spoke briefly about her duties as the Children's Librarian. Judy Vickers then told
the board about her job as a library paraprofessional.

A. Budget Report.
Expenditures are on track for the year. .
B. Statistical Report.
The overall circulation and visits continue to be down when compared to the same time last
year. There was a slight increase of 772 in circulation from July to August.
V. Friends of the Library:
No report
VL Director's Remarks
i. Council passed the FY 2020-2021 budget the previous Monday evening. The library
budget for the upcoming year is $727,331. City Manager Grayson Path will be on the
agenda for the October meeting to talk about the hiring process for the library director.
The next meeting will be October 21.
