1989-081-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL IN ORD NO 89-020
RESOLUTION NO. 89-081
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did hereto-
fore in Ordinance No. 89-020 close Ownby Avenue beginning at the
West Boundary Line of North Main Street, thence West 121 Feet to
the West Boundary Line of the Fairview Addition to the City of
Paris; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that the owners adjacent to the road so
closed are: Floyd McKnight and Emilie McKnight and the closed
road should be conveyed to them by deed in accordance with
Section 272.001, Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he
is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed to the road
being closed to the adjacent owners, it appearing that the real
and true owners of the property described hereinabove are Floyd
McKnight and Emilie McKnight;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Paris retain a
utility and drainage easement in the area to be described in the
above described quit claim deed.
