WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore in Resolution No. 88-016 approve the execution of a
contract agreement with Brad Gentry, dba Total Lawn Care Service;
and,
WHEREAS,

That the mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he
is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the
City of Paris the addendum in the form 'of Exhibit A attached
hereto.

ADDENDUM NO. ONE
TO CONTRACT AGREEMENT DATED MARCH 14, 1988,
ASSIGNED TO RICK POWELL, INC, ON JANUARY 9, 1989

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS That this Addendum to
Contract Agreement, made this lOth day of July, 1989, by and
between Rick Powell, Inc., hereinafter called CONTRACTOR and the
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, acting by and through its Mayor,
Eric S. Clifford, duly authorized,
WITNESSETH:
It is hereby mutually agreed by CONTRACTOR and the CITY OF
PARIS, that the following paragraph be added:
"Fifth: The term of this contract begins on the first day of
April, 1988, and runs until such time as the CITY OF PARIS or
CONTRACTOR gives sixty (60) days written notice to the other that
the same is terminated. The CITY OF PARIS retains the right to
terminate said contract upon thirty (30) days written notice for
CONTRACTOR's failure to perform the services required under this
contract."
