1989-086-RES WHEREAS, CLOVES GRAVES ALLEGED HE ERRONEOUSLY PAID TAXES ON LOT 6 BLOCK 101-B
RESOLUTION NO. 89-086
WHEREAS, Clovis Graves did allege that he has erroneously
paid taxes on Lot 6, Block 101-B, in the amount of $590.14; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris Tax Assessor-Collector, W. E.
Anderson, did find that the overpayment did occur and recommends
refund of same; and,
WHEREAS, Section 31.11 of Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated
authorizes such refunds be made in excess of $500.00 only when
authorized by the governing body; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That City of Paris Tax Assessor-Collector, W. E. Anderson, be,
and he is hereby directed to refund $590.14 to Clovis Graves for
the erroneous payment of taxes on Lot 6, Block 101-B, a lot not
owned by him.
