1989-096-RES WHEREAS, IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF CITY COUNCIL THAT ONE OF
RESOLUTION NO. 89-096
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Paris, that one of the Assistant Court
Clerk's will be on medical leave of absence for approximately
eight (8) weeks; and,
WHEREAS, it will be necessary to hire a replacement for her
during that time; and,
WHEREAS, a temporary employee is available through the
Alabama-Coushatta Indian Tribal Council Grant Program for a
contract period of thirteen (13) weeks on a one-half (t) match
basis providing that the City of Paris pay one-half (t) and the
Alabama-Coushatta Indian Tribal Council Grant Program pay one-
half (t) of the salary for the Assistant Court Clerk's temporary
replacement; and,
WHEREAS, it would be proper for the City Manager of the City
of Paris, Michael E. Malone, to be authorized to participate in
the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Tribal Council Grant Program when it
is in the best interest of the City of Paris so to do; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the City Manager of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone,
be, and he is hereby authorized to make necessary applications
and to sign necessary contracts to participate in the Alabama-
Coushatta Indian Tribal Council Job Training Grant Program.
