1989-030-RES WHEREAS, THE ALABAMA-COUSHATA INDIAN TRIBAL COUNCIL ASKED COP TO PARTICIPATE
RESOLUTION 89-030
WHEREAS, The Alabama-Coushatta Indian Tribal Council has
asked the City of Paris to participate in its Jobs Training
Partnership Act Program which would provide three employees for
three months to the City of Paris at no salary cost to the City
of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris would be required to provide
Workers' Compensation Insurance coverage for the three employees;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris would have no obligation to
extend the employment beyond the three months; and,
WHEREAS, individual contracts would be signed for each
employee furnished under such program, and it would be
appropriate for the City Manager of the City of Paris to be
authorized to sign such contracts; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS That
the City of Paris participate in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian
Tribal Council Jobs Training Partnership Act Program; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the City of
Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized on
behalf of the City of Paris to execute contracts for employment
with the individual employees or the Alabama-Coushatta Indian
Tribal Council.
