1989-029-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL ON FEBRUARY 13, 1989 IN RES NO 89-016
RESOLUTION 89-029
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did on
February 13, 1989 in Resolution No. 89-016, authorize execution
of a contract with the State Department of Highways & Public
Transportation wherein the City of Paris did cooperate with the
State Highway Department and participated in the cost of an
improvement of Loop Highway 286 S. W. at the Missouri Pacific
Railroad overpass; and,
WHEREAS, t~e State Department of Highways and
Transportation has authorized in Minute Order No. 88280,
on February 27, 1989, a rehabilitation project on Loop 286
Missouri Pacific Railroad overpass; and,

WHEREAS, such Minute Order provides that Lamar County and
City of Paris will provide 10% of the cost of Right of Way; 10%
of the cost of eligible utility adjustments; maintenance for that
portion of the work which falls within their area of
responsibility; and regulate traffic and prevent encroachment of
the right of wav; and,
WHEREAS, in keeping with the City of Paris' spirit of
cooperation with the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation in providing safe streets and highways, it would be
right and proper for the City of Paris to accept the provisions
of said Minute Order; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That State Department of Highways and Public Transportation Minute
Order No. 88280, dated February 27,1989, be, and the same is
hereby accepted.
