1989-004-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL IN RES 88-092 AUTHORIZED
RESOLUTION NO.
89-004
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore in Resolution No. 88-092 authorize the execution
of Water Purchase Contract with Campbell Soup (Texas), Inc.;
and,
WHEREAS, said contract
by Campbell Soup (Texas),
express approval of the City
prohibi ted the resale of water
Inc., to others without the
of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, Tenaska, III is locating a co-generation plant
upon property owned by Campbell Soup (Texas), Inc., which
plant site is in dire need of potable water for human
consumption and sanitary facilities on a temporary basis
until service can be established directly from the City of
Paris water system; and,
WHEREAS, it is right and proper to give permission to
provide such temporary service by Campbell Soup (Texas),
Inc., to Tenaska, III; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That Campbell Soup (Texas), Inc., be, and the same is
hereby authorized to give temporary water service to
Tenaska, III for human consumption and sanitary facilities
until such time as service can be provided by the City of
Paris water system.
