1989-053-RES WHEREAS, LAMAR COUNTY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION ON 04.14.89 FILED A SCHEDULE OF RATES
RESOLUTION NO. 89-053
WHEREAS, Lamar County Electric Cooperative Association did,
on April 14, 1989, file a schedule of rates for electric service
within the City of Paris, to become effective May 8, 1989; and,
WHEREAS, after having reviewed the proposed rate schedule
and having received information from Lamar County Electric
Cooperative Association, it is the opinion of the City Council of
the City of Paris, that such schedule of rates should be
suspended for a period of 90 days from May 8, 1989; and,
WHEREAS, a copy of this resolution has been provided Lamar
County Electric Cooperative Association prior to its consid-
eration by the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That pursuant to Section 43 (d) of the Public Utility Regulatory
Act, that the operation of the Lamar County Electric Cooperative
Association's proposed rate schedule filed with the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 14th day of April, 1989, be, and the
same is hereby suspended for a period of 90 days for further
study, investigation, receipt of evidence and public hearing;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a public hearing, be, and the
same is hereby set for 5:15 P.M. on June 8, 1989, in the Council
Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, for the purpose of receiving any
and all information germane to Lamar County Electric Cooperative
Association's request for rate increases, filed in the form of a
schedule of rates with the City of Paris on the 14th day of
April, 1989.
