1989-047-RES WHEREAS, UNSIGNED LEASE TO 1970; THEREAFTER MOBILE OIL CO ASSIGNED ALL
RESOLUTION NO. 89-047
WHEREAS,
unsigned lease
to 1970; and,
WHEREAS, thereafter Mobile Oil Company assigned all its
interest in said tanks to Mack Wilson Petroleum Distributors,
Inc., Paris, Texas; and,
Mobile Oil Company furnished tanks under an
agreement to the City of Paris at Cox Field prior
WHEREAS, Wilson Oil Company has tendered to the City of
Paris a Bill of Sale, a copy of which is attached hereto as
Exhibit A conveying such tanks to the City of Paris; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paris did abandon such tanks upon the
installation of new tanks which complied with State of Texas and
Federal Government regulations; and,
WHEREAS, such tanks are surplus and create confusion for the
flying public; and,
WHEREAS, the airport Fixed Base Operator has requested that
the pumps on said tanks be removed; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City
of Paris that said tanks be removed in order to reduce or
eliminate the cost of complying with regulations governing the
same; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Bill of Sale attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the
same is hereby accepted by the City of Paris; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the tanks described in the Bill
of Sale attached hereto as Exhibit A are declared to be surplus
and of no benefit to the City of Paris and the removal of the
same by City forces is hereby directed.
