1988-099-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did heretofore in Ordinance No.87-052, authorized the
RESOLUTION NO. 88-099
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did
heretofore in Ordinance No.87-052, authorized the City Staff
to approve the advertisement for bids for labor and mate-
rials to construct and install a security gate at Cox Field,
Paris, Texas, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock
A.M., Wednesday, February 24, 1988; and,
WHEREAS, the only bid for such construction and instal-
lation was made by Pridemore Fence Company, Route 1, Box
649, Paris, Texas, and it should be awarded the bid for such
construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to
sign the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Bid of Pridemore Fence Company in the amount
of $3,630.00, is hereby accepted and let conditioned upon
said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications
included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
contract with Pridemore Fence Company for constructing and
installing a security gate at Cox Field, Paris, Texas, upon
the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto.

LEGAL NOTICE
The City of Paris will receive sealed bids until 10:00 A.M., Wednesday,
February 24, 1988, for labor and materials to construct and install a
security gate at Cox Field, Paris, Texas.
Bids addressed to the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Office of the City
manager, City of Paris, P.O. Box 9037, Paris, Texas 75461-9037, will be
received until 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 24, 1988, at which time all
bids received will be publicly opened, tabulated and referred to the Mayor
and City Council for their consideration.
Bidders are notified of City exemption from otherwise applicable sales and
excise tax.
The City of Paris reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any
informality in bidding and to award as may be advantageous to the City.
Notice to Bidders: Specifications and Bid Forms may be obtained at the
Office of City Manager, City Hall, Paris, Texas.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR SECURITY GATE
CITY OF PARIS COX FIELD
Specifications listed are for the Powermaster Model SG Gear Slide Gate
opener or approved equal.
GATE:
Gate shall be cantilevered with rollers.
Gate posts shall be 3" O.D.
Gate shall be 4' high x 20' long.
Gate shall be 9 guage chain link fencing.
CONTROL UNIT:
Motor size will be minimum of 1/3 H.P.
Gear reduced bronze gears running in oil bath.
Instant reverse motor wiring on all single phase.
Adjustable torque limiter.
Rotary limit switches.
High Starting torque motor with full overload protector.
#50 roller chain shall be used.
Mounting columns will be steel I-Beam.
Radio control and reverse edge wiring.
Election solenoid brake.
24 volt control circuit.
3 Button normal control station.
Heavy Duty reversing controller.
1 Delay Closer
Bid must include the following:
1. Concrete pad for. operator
2. Concrete pads (2) for pedestals that house key switches

4. Warranty information

The Bid must include all materials, labor and equipment for a complete
