WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris
continues to support the efforts of the total industrial
team of the City of Paris to promote the location of
industry in and near the City of Paris so as to provide
additional jobs for the City and the area and to promote
commerce; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
City of Paris for the City Council of the City of Paris to
make assurances to Tenaska III as permitted under Vernon's
Texas Codes Annotated, Local Government Code, Section
42.044; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City of Paris, acting by and through its
City Council does hereby agree to and guarantee the contin-
uation of the extraterritorial status of the property
described on Exhibit A attached hereto, being property
leased from Campbell Soup Company by Tenaska III and its
successors, for a period of seven (7) years.
