1988-106-RES WHEREAS, the Lamar County Appraisal District Board has requested the City Council of the City of Paris
RESOLUTION NO. 88-106
WHEREAS, the Lamar County Appraisal District Board has
requested the City Council of the City of Paris to authorize
changing its fiscal year from January 1st through December
31st to September 1st through August 31st; and
WHEREAS, the property tax code requires that such
fiscal year change be authorized by at least three-fourths
of the taxing units entitled to vote on the appointment of
board members and since the City of Paris has no objection
it would be appropriate for such authorization to be grated,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, That in the event three-fourths of the
taxing units entitled to vote on the appointment of board
members concur, the Lamar County Appraisal District Board of
Directors are hereby authorized and directed to change its
fiscal year from January 1st through December 31st to
September 1st through August 31st.
