BACKGROUND: Policies and Procedures for Boards, Commissions, and Committees adopted
by City Council require that appointments be made at the second regular City Council meeting in
June.

Carol James recently resigned from the Library Advisory Board, because she moved out oft e
area.
City staff has advertised these two vacancies through local media and received one application
for each vacancy,. Mr. Lloyd Fqt has expressed an interest in serving on the Traffic Commission.
Mr. Myers Hurt has expressed an interest in serving on the Library Advisory Board. Both are
qualified applicants.
