1988-102-RES WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 88-037 authorize application for grant with
RESOLUTION NO. 88-102
WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution
No. 88-037 authorize application for grant with the Texas
Rental Rehabilitation Program; and,
WHEREAS, it continues to be deemed in the best interest
of the citizens of Paris to seek such assistance; and,
WHEREAS, an application for such grant assistance in an
amount up to $500,000.00, being a 100% grant was heretofore
authorized; and,
WHEREAS, upon the advice and recommendation of Bob
Jones, Consultant, it is deemed to be appropriate to reduce
the maximum amount in which said application is authorized
to $300,000.00; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
1. That an application be made to the Texas
Department of Commerce for a grant in the amount up to
$300,000.00, being a 100% grant, for rehabilitation of
substandard units in compliance with the Texas Rental
Rehabilitation Program.
2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City
of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and he is hereby designated
Certifying Representative and is hereby authorized and
directed on behalf of the City of Paris to execute and
transmit the application for such grant.

That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance of the
Paris, be, and he is hereby designated Financial
for the Texas Rental Rehabilitation Program grant
and shall approve all financial transactions.
4. That Joe McCollum, Director of Community Develop-
ment of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby designated
Contact Person to execute and deliver all other communica-
tions, instruments and documents necessary for the
completion of said project.
