WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has
undertaken a project of construction entitled Bypass
Retention Basins-Woodard and Southeast in accordance with
plans and specifications prepared by Earl Smith, City
Engineer of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the easement

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the above
described utility easement is necessary for said improvement
project and that the same should be condemned; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, be, and he is
hereby authorized and directed to proceed with eminent
domain proceedings to condemn the above described property
to be used for Bypass Retention Basin.

GRANTORS: W. G. Gibson & Wife, Mattie Beulah Gibson
Being a portion of a 145.4 acre tract of land conveyed W.G.
Gibson and Mattie Beulah Gibson, known as Tract No. 1 as recorded in
Vol. 283, Page 549 of the Oeed Records of Lamar County, Texas.
Beginning at a point, said point being in the South Boundary Line
of an existing easement conveyed to the City of Paris as described in
Oeed recorded in Vol. 400, Page 390, Tract No. IJ Same point being
South 0 degrees, 35 minutes East a distance of 238 feet and South 88
degrees 50 minutes East a distance of 760.4 feet from Northwest corner
of said 145.5 acre Gibson Tract No.1;
Thence South 88 degrees, 50 minutes East, continuing with the
South Boundary Line of said existing easement, a distance of 168 feet
to a point;
Thence South 1 degrees, 10 minutes West a distance of 143 feet to
a point;
Thence North 88 degrees, 50 minutes East a distance of 168 feet
to a point;
Thence North 1 degrees, 10 minutes East a distance of 143 feet to
the place of beginning and containing 0.5515 acres of land, more or
less.
