1988-129-RES WHEREAS, the term of office of C. D. Hilburn and Tanis Hager as members of the Civil Service
RESOLUTION NO. 88-l29
WHEREAS, the term of office of C. D. Hilburn and Tanis
Hager as members of the Civil Service Commission of the City
of Paris, will expire on December 3l, 1988; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris, Michael
E. Malone, in accordance with the authority granted in
Section 143.006 of the Local Government Code, has appointed
Dick Amis for a term of three (3) years, beginning January
1, 1989, and ending December 31, 1991, and Eric Tate for a
term of one (1) year beginning January 1, 1989, and ending
December 31, 1989, which appointments together with the two
(2) year remaining term for commissioner Philip Cecil, will
restore the mandated staggering of terms to the commission;
and,
WHEREAS, it is right and proper that said appointments
be confirmed, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the appointment of Dick Amis to serve as a
member of the Civil Service Commission of the City of Paris,
for a term of three (3) years, beginning January l, 1989,
and ending December 31, 1991, and the appointment of Eric
Tate to serve as a member of the Civil Service Commission of
the City of Paris, for a term of one (1) year, beginning
January 1, 1989, and ending December 31, 1989, be, and the
same are hereby confirmed by the City Council of the City of
Paris.
