1988-123-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its regular meeting on September l6, 1988, in
RESOLUTION NO.88-l23
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did
at its regular meeting on September l6, 1988, in Ordinance No.
88-039, authorize the replacement of the Mettler Scale used in
the Environmental Services Laboratory; and,
WHEREAS, the Water
Paris is desirous of
Analytical Balance Scale
and Sewer
procuring
which is a
Departments of the City of
a new Mettler Electronic
high technology item; and,
WHEREAS, high technology items are permitted to be purchased
under the authority granted in subsection (b) and (c) of Section
2 of Article 2368a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the procedure to be followed for the purchase of
high technology items shall be the competitive sealed proposal
procedure which permits the taking of sealed proposals after
notice has been given by publishing the same in the Paris News
once a week for two consecutive weeks prior to the time set for
opening and accepting such proposal. The date of the first
publication to be at least 14 days prior to the date set for such
opening and accepting of proposals; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the purchase of the Mettler Electronic Analytical Balance
Scale be, and the same is hereby declared to be a high technology
purchase.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sealed proposal procedure
as described above is authorized for the purchase of the Mettler
Elect:::::dA:::Y:::::e:a::::el:::l:~.yy.~ ~~' 988.
