BACKGROUND: This is the annual bid for roadway materials to be used by the Street, Water
Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, and Parks Divisions. The materials competitively re -bid include
CRS -2 Emulsion Asphalt and SS- I Emulsion Asphalt (Tack Oil).
STATUS OF ISSUE: The City of Paris Public Works Department received one sealed bid for
street materials and would like to award bids to the lowest responsible bidder for each material.
The bid tabulation sheet is attached for details of the bids and materials.
BUDGET: Monies are budgeted in the Street, Water Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, and Park
Divisions,
RECOMMENDATION: Award bids as indicated in attachment.

Ergon -Federal Environmental Fee will be added to above prices at a rate of
$.49770/ton for asphalt and polymer loads or $.00150/gal for emulsion loads.
Bid is for full transport loads of 5,500 gallons. Freight is based on a full
transport load, even if a full load of material is not ordered. The common
carrier bills demurrage at $90 per hr. after the second hr. Return freight is 1/2
of the outgoing tariff. Pump and hose charge is $90 per load.
