1988-114-RES WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Paris is aware of the inadequacies of the present telephone
RESOLUTION NO. 88-114
WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Paris is aware
of the inadequacies of the present telephone and intercom
system used by the offices and employees of the City of
Paris; and,
WHEREAS, American Telephone & Telegraph has made a
proposal to the City of Paris which is determined to be in
the best interest of the citizens of Paris to accept; and,
WHEREAS, it would be right and proper to cancel the
lease/purchase and maintenance agreements with Southwestern
Bell Telecom and enter into a lease/purchase and maintenance
agreement with American Telephone & Telegraph; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the cancellation of the lease/purchase and
maintenance agreements with Southwestern Bell Telecom and
the lease/purchase and maintenance agreement with American
Telephone & Telegraph are hereby apP!oved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of
Paris a lease/purchase and maintenance agreement with
American Telephone & Telegraph.
