1988-036-RES WHEREAS, the City of Paris has received an invitation to make application for a grant to the Economic

WHEREAS, the City of Paris has received an invitation
to make application for a grant to the Economic Development
Administration (EDA) for a feasibility study for a food
processing plant; and,
WHEREAS, a grant application for the proposed project,
which requires approximately $36,500.00 of EDA funds, will
be processed for consideration under the criteria
established for the Fiscal Year 1988 Technical Assistance
Program; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
City of Paris that said application should be made; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the application to the Economic Development
Administration (EDA) for a grant for a feasibility study for
a food processing plant be prepared by Sue H. Smith, Main
Street Project Manager.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Michael E. Malone, City
Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute on behalf of the City of Paris the application to
the Economic Development Administration (EDA).
