1988-029-RES WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division has offered a
RESOLUTION NO. 88-029
WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor of the State of
Texas, Criminal Justice Division has offered a Supplemental
Grant Award, being $250.00 from the State of Texas and
$750.00 from the Federal Government for a total of
$1,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, acceptance of the same must occur within
thirty (30) days of the date of said award which occurred on
March 11, 1988; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 87-097 should be amended so as to
change the Project Director from Sue Smith to Benny Broth-
ers, Temporary Project Director, who should be authorized to
execute on behalf of the Permanent Project Director who has
been appointed but shall remain nameless for the purpose of
confidentiality; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, be, and he
is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
the City of Paris, the Grant Acceptance Notice in the form
of Exhibit A attached hereto; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Resolution 87-097 be, and
the same is hereby amended to replace, the original Project
Director, Sue Smith, by Benny Brothers, Temporary Project
Director, who is authorized and shall sign all instruments
and documents concerned with said Grant for the Proj ect
Director who has been appointed but shall remain nameless
for the purpose of confidentiality.

State of Texas, entitled Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension ProQram!l

Whereas, the Governor of the State of Texas has approved the grant application as evidenced by the
Statement of Grant Award from the Governor's Office dated U41l 1 1 mA
which contained certain special requirements.
Whereas, the Grantee desires to accept the grant award, the Uniform Grant and Contract Management
Standards, and special requirements as evidenced by the Statement of Grant A ward,
Now. therefore, the Grantee accepts the aforementioned Statement of Grant Award, the Uniform Grant
and Contract Management Standards and special requirements in the grant application and the Statement of
Grant Award as evidenced by this agreement executed by the project director, fmancial officer, and the
official authorized to sign the original grant application as presiding officer of and on behalf of the governing
body of this grantee.
Now, therefore, the Grantee shall designate either the project director or financial officer to coordinate
and be solely responsible for submission of adjustments pertaining to both programs and financial elements of

We, the undersigned, certify that none of the grant funds, regardless of their source or character, including
local cash assumption of cost funds, shall be used in any manner to influence the outcome of any election or
the passage or defeat of any legislative measure.
A finding that a grantee has violated this certification shall result in the immediate termination of funding
of the project and the grantee shall not be eligible for future funding from the Governor's Office, Criminal
Justice Division.
