1988-022-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore on the 8th day of July, 1985, in Resolution
RESOLUTION NO. 88-022
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore on the 8th day of July, 1985, in Resolution No.
85-059, authorize a lease with Northern Telecom Finance
Corporation for equipment for telephone service; and,
WHEREAS, Northern Telecom Finance Corporation assigned
its rights and interest to Security Pacific National Bank
and the City of Paris approved such assignment on October
19, 1987, in Resolution No. 87-114; and,
WHEREAS, Security Pacific National Bank has elected to
assign its rights and interest under said lease to U. S.
West Financial Services, Inc., Western Commercial Division,
6300 South Syracuse Way, Suite 195, Englewood, Colorado
80111; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of
the City of Paris that such Notice of Assignment, attached
hereto as Exhibit A be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Director of Finance of the City of Paris,
W. E. Anderson, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to acknowledge and accept on behalf of the City of Paris the
Notice of Assignment attached hereto as Exhibit A with U. S.
West Financial Services, Inc., Western Commercial Division,
6300 South Syracuse Way, Suite 195, Englewood, Colorado
80111.

rights, title and interest in and to the above referenced Lease Agreement
(the "Agreement"), the equipment leased thereunder, and the right to
receive payments thereunder to U.S. West Financial Services, Inc.
