1988-012-RES WHEREAS, the several departments of the City of Paris have furnished the list of personal property on RESOLUTION NO. 88-012 WHEREAS, the several departments of the City of Paris have furnished the list of personal property on Exhibit A attached hereto which no longer serves a useful purpose for the City of Paris and it's operation; and, WHEREAS, it would be right and proper to declare the personal property on Exhibit A attached hereto to be surplus property, since there is no known municipal use of the same; and, WHEREAS, it would be appropriate to dispose of said surplus property by auction duly advertised and conducted by Blake Moore Associates, Auctioneers, Texas Auctioneer License TXS-019-0067l0, which firm has heretofore been approved for use by State of Texas agencies, upon the terms and conditions of the contract attached hereto as Exhibit B; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the personal property described on Exhibit A attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby declared to be surplus property of the City of Paris and the same may be disposed of in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the City of Paris to execute the professional service contract providing for auctioneering services, with Blake Moore Associates, attached hereto as Exhibit B.
