1988-062-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 87-089, authorize the
RESOLUTION NO. 88-062
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore, in Resolution No. 87-089, authorize the Center
Street Waterline Replacement project from 7th N.W. Street,
West to 19th N.W. Street under emergency conditions; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Earl Smith, recommends the
amendment of said contract by Change Order No. 1 attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", which is the final change order and
provides for a net decrease in contract price of $1,630.47
to a total of $ 63,699.53, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the contract for the Center Street Water Main
Replacement project is hereby amended by Change Order No.1,
being the final change order, attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric Clifford, is hereby
authorized and directed, on behalf of the City of Paris, to
execute said Change Order.

Justification:
The water services' were not discovered until the project was being built. It was
necessary to add these transfers to the project to continue providing water service
to these three customers.
The in-line valve was added to the line to facilitate repairs in the event the main
needed to be closed.
NOTE: Guarantee period. begins April 1, 1988, and lasts one year to end April 1, 1989.
Contractor is responsible to repair defective workmanship at no cost to owner.
