1988-080-RES WHEREAS, the State of Texas, Department of Commerce has available funds for loan through cities and

WHEREAS, the State of Texas, Department of Commerce has
available funds for loan through cities and counties to
encourage economic development and the creating of jobs for
lower and middle income persons; and,
WHEREAS, Workhoist, Inc., an existing small business
has requested the City of Paris to make the application for
the loan of such funds and then loan them the funds; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
economic development of the City of Paris and therefore in
the best interest of its citizens that such application
should be prepared and submitted under the authority of the
City of Paris; NOW, THEREFO~E,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Eric S. Clifford, Mayor of the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Paris the loan application in the form
attached hereto as Exhibit A.
2. That W. E. Anderson,
he is hereby authorized to
