SUBJECT: ELECTION OF MAYOR AND MAYOR PRO -TEM
DATE: May 10, 2021
BACKGROUND: Following the acknowledgement of the result of prior Council action
declaring Candidates for Council Districts 4, 5, & 7 elected to office, the City Council will be
seated for the upcoming year.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Section 16 of the City Charter requires that the newly comprised City
Council shall elect from among its members a Mayor and Mayor Pro -Tem.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Elect a Mayor and a Mayor Pro -Tem to serve for one year.
