WHEREAS, Mike Darnell has requested the City Council of
the City of Paris to authorize water service to a location
outside of the city limits of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris water capacity is such that
the citizens of Paris would not suffer any hardship or lack
of service should Mike Darnell be served with water by the
City water system; and,
WHEREAS, it would be appropriate to provide such
service under the application and contract form attached
hereto as Exhibit A, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the City Manager of the City of Paris, Michael
E. Malone be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute on behalf of the City of Paris the Combination
Application for Service and Contract Form with Mike Darnell
in the form of Exhibit A attached hereto.

SUBJECT: APPLICATION AND CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING AND RECEIVING WATER/OR SEWER
SERVICE BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND MIKE DARNELL
Under the terms of City of Paris Code and Policy relating LO service of water
or sewer facilities outside the corporate limits of the City of Paris. I (We)
hereby request approval for a connection as shown on attached exhibit (attach
drawing, photograph or map showing in detail the location of proposed connec-
tion).
I (We) further understand that any such connections that might be subsequently
authorized outside the City of Paris corporate limits to its water system
through direct connection or in the "gray area" between the City of Paris and
Lamar County Water Corporation are subject to the following terms, conditions
and agreements:
1. Charges for said service to be billed by the City to me at
double the City of Paris charge for similar service within
;~s (lty limits SUbject; however, that said rates for
outside city limits service may be increased by the City of
Paris upon a thirty (30) day notice of intention to do so
to the person named below as applicant. ("Gray area"
customers charged through Lamar County Water Supply Corpo-
ration and not billed directly by the City of Paris.)
2. All connections and services as a result of this contract
to be made in accordance with City of Paris codes and
ordinances.
3. No cross connections between other systems and systems
serviced as a result of this contract will be continued or
allowed by contractor.
4. All lines, services and mains as a result of this contract
used by contractor previously serviced through other means
shall be sterilized or otherwise decontaminated to the
satisfaction of the City of Paris prior to connection to
the City of Paris system.
5. Contractor shall be totally responsible for all services
metered and/or sold as a result of this contract and no
resale, redistribution or otherwise subletting of benefits
to this contract shall be made by said contractor without
the prior explicit written approval of the City of Paris.
EXHIBIT A
6. Contractor is aware that under the terms of any future
extension of city limits or corporate boundaries that would
include recipients of said services would in no way entitle
said contractor for any reimbursement of expenses incu~red
directly or indirectly as a result of City of Paris sales
of services through this contract.
7. In the event curtailment or reduction of said services were
dictated as a result of shortages, outages, disasters or
other reasons the City of Paris reserves the right to
reduce or discontinue any and all services resulting under
this contract for the duration of said condition.
8. Payment of all deposits, tap fees, and other charges as are
applicable under City of Paris regulations.
