1987-035-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 86-077, award the
RESOLUTION NO. 87-035
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore, in Resolution No. 86-077, award the contract for
the Paris Public Library Improvements to Aud1ey Moore
Company; and,
WHEREAS, William M. Lightfoot, AlA, recommends the
amendment of said contract by Change Order No. 1 attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", which provides for a net increase in
contract price of $6,275.00 to a total of $708,375.00, and
an increase in contract time of four (4) calendar days for
adding an overhead door, rework masonry and grade beam,
provide four additional lights and electric power to door
unit; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the contract for the Paris Public Library
Improvements project is hereby amended by Change Order No. 1
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, is hereby authorized and directed,
on behalf of the City of Paris, to execute said Change
Order.

Dear Sirs:
Enclosed are detailed drawings indicating the addition of
an overhead door and projecting brick pilasters on the west
elevation of the Library. The overhead door shall be equal
to that manufactured by Overhead Door Company. Series #418;
16 gauge galvanized insulated flush steel door with electric
operator, weatherstripping, and lock.
Door shall operate with inside electric push button. Door
shall be painted with one coat of galvanized primer and two
coats of outside paint as specified.
The Contractor shall excavate some additional dirt as directed
by the Architect, and include electric operators and additional
lights. The Contractor proposes to do this additional work and
materials for the sum of $6,275.00, and four additional days
of construction time.
The attached information was requested by Dick Boots to provide
a great deal of additional storage for the City.
It is my recommendation that the City accept this change order.
