1987-034-RES WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that there is an alley, RESOLUTION NO. 87-034 WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that there is an alley, beginning at the South boundary line of Kaufman Street and running South for approximately 154.3 feet, sometimes referred to as 4th Street S. E. and sometimes referred to as an alley; and, WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council that the alley is not desired by the property owner adjacent to said alley, but that said alley is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for utility easement purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed to the alley being closed to the adjacent owners on either side of said alley, it appearing that First Baptist Church is the sole and only property owner adjacent to said alley; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Paris retain a utility easement in the area to be described in the above described quit claim deeds.
