RESOLUTION NO. 87-028
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did
heretofore in Ordinance No. 84-080 close the Old Brookston
Road, beginning at the West Boundary Line of 7th S.W. Street
in a Westerly direction to the North right-of-way line of
Loop 286 S.W.; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that the owners adjacent to the
road so closed are: Eddie N. Nicholson, Don Nicholson and
Joe M. Nicholson, Paris Industrial Foundation, Jimmie
Sharrock, H & W Investments and T. W. Greenwood, and
portions of the closed road should be conveyed to them by
deed in accordance with Article 5421c-12, Vernon's Annotated
Texas Civil Statutes; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe
Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute a quit
claim deed to the road being closed to the adjacent owners
on either side of said road, it appearing that the real and
true owners of the hereinafter described lots are as
follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Paris retain a
utility easement in the area to be described in the above
described quit claim deeds.
