BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION
At its meeting held on August 2, 2021 the Planning & Zoning Commission held a brief discussion
regarding the 12 month hiatus in the enforcement of requirements for constructing sidewalks on
single building lots. They were in full support of the pause on sidewalk requirements and formed
a sub -committee to develop a Master Trails & Sidewalk Plan for update to the City's
Comprehensive Plan. The two appointees from the Commission are the Chair Chad Lindsey &
Commissioner Francine Neely. Staff is requesting that a least one City Council member be
appointed as liaison to this sub -committee. Several city staff members will serve on the committee
and include representation from the Trail De Paris Board as well.
Recommendation
Appointment of a least 1 City Council Member to the P&Z Master Trails & Sidewalk Plan Sub -
Committee is recommended.
