1987-115-RES WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has received a request from Frank McHam, Chairman of
RESOLUTION NO. 87--115
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has
received a request from Frank McHam, Chairman of the Board,
Paris Bible Church for the extension of water service to
property at 1245 N. W. 19th Street which could be best
served by a pro rata water extension beginning at West
Henderson's Street intersection with 19th N. W. Street;
thence in a Southerly direction to 1245 N. W. 19th Street;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared preliminary
plans, specifications, and an estimate of the total cost of
the project and delivered the same to the City Manager; and,
WHEREAS, it would be right and proper to have a public
hearing concerning the same at a special meeting of the City
Council on November 16, 1987, at which time the City Council
will determine whether or not the pro rata project should be
had; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That a public hearing be held by and before the City
Council of the City of Paris in special session convened on
the 16th day of November, 1987 at 5:15 o'clock P.M. in the
Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, to hear all matters
relating to the matter of a 12" water main pro rata exten-
sion beginning at the intersection of West Henderson Street
and 19th N. W. Street; thence in a Southerly direction to
1245 N.W. 19th Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That notice of the above
described hearing shall be given by advertisement one time
on the 23rd day of October, 1987 in a newspaper published in
the City of Paris and additional written notice shall be
given by depositing in the U. S. Mail on or before the 30th
day of October, 1987, a day which is more than 14 days
before the date of such hearing, to all owners of property
abutting such water extension, as the names of such owners
are shown on the certified tax rolls of the City of Paris
and to the addresses so shown.
