WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution
No. 86-119 make application for funds for assistance through
the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the purpose of
constructing a picnic shelter, a multi-purpose court, a
playground area and a paved parking area in Culbertson Park
in the 1300 block of East Hearon Street, Paris, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Parks
made a grant offer, number
$32,579.00, being a 50% grant;
and Wildlife

the amount of
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of
the City of Paris that said grant offer be accepted and
contracted for in the form of the agreement, entitled Texas
Parks and Wildlife Department, Texas Local Parks, Recreation
and Open Space Fund Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, as follows:
1. That grant offer, Texas Parks and Wildlife Depart-
ment number 20-00241, be, and the same is hereby
accepted.
2. That, Michael E. Malone, City Manager, be, and he
is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Paris the agreement in the
form attached hereto as Exhibit A.
3. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and
he is hereby authorized to serve as the City's
fiscal officer to receive Federal funds for
purposes of this parks improvement program.
4. That Dick Boots, Director of Facilities of the
City of Paris, be, and he is hereby appointed
Contact Person to execute and deliver all other
communications, instruments and documents neces-
sary for the completion of said project.

The undersigned political subdivision of the State of Texas does hereby agree and accept the same
responsibility and obligations as set out in the herein described project and to the same extent and
in the same manner, including all requirements, as does the State of Texas. The undersigned
political subdivision of the State of Texas further understands, agrees, and accepts that this
project is not effective until this project agreement has been duly executed by the State of Texas
and the said political subdivision, and no work shall be initiated until it has received said
notification by the State. The undersigned political subdivision agrees to furnish the Department
a c~m~rehensive report detailing the present and 'anticipated use of the property. any contiguous
addlt10ns to the property and any major changes in the character of the property, including the
extent of park development which may have taken place. This report will be furnished annually
for a period of five (5) years each January following the project's completion date.

PROJECT SCOPE (Description of Project)
The City of Paris will develop 1 acre of 7 acre CUlbertson Park to include
utilities, roads (driveways) & parking, playground, pavilion with 12 picnic
tables and 4 grills, 1 lighted basketball/volleyball court, 4 benches,
walkways, fencing, and signs.
Paris Culbertson Park is located in the south central area of the city
on 13th Street SE at Hearon Street.
A PERMANENT PROJECT RECOGNITION SIGN/PLAQUE IS REQUIRED TO BE VISIBLE AND MAINTAINED
AT EACH PROJECT SITE, AND ALL UTILITY LINES MUST BE PLACED UNDERGROUND.
The following attachment is hereby incorporated into this Agreement General Provisions
dated June 19BD and Revised May 1985.
