1987-074-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 87-050, award the
RESOLUTION NO, 87-074
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore, in Resolution No. 87-050, award the contract for
the construction of Exterior Renovation to City Hall and
Central Fire Station to Landmark Restoration & Waterproofing
Co., Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Facilities, Dick Boots,
recommends that Landmark Restoration & Waterproofing Co.,
Inc., be engaged by force account or on a day by day basis
to accomplish Field Orders No.1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", "B", "C", "D", "E" and "F" respec-
tively; and,
WHEREAS, Field Order No.1 provides for refurbishing of
all red brick joints at a cost of $10,800.00; and,
WHEREAS, Field Order No. 2 provides for applying Thoro
coat to areas below the Texas Leuder Stone at the West
elevation at a cost of $600.00; and,
WHEREAS, Field Order No. 3 provides for caulking all
perimeters of wood windows on entire building at a cost of
$1,540.00; and,
WHEREAS, Field Order No.
molding on sides of truck doors
cost of $250.00; and,
4 provides for replacing
at the South elevation at a
WHEREAS, Field Order No.5 provides for stabilizing and
resetting three (3) column stones on the South column at the
West elevation at a cost of $1,800.00; and,
WHEREAS, Field Order No. 6 provides for removing,
cleaning, sealing and reinstalling the light lanterns at the
South elevation at a cost of $1,200.00; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That Landmark Restoration & Waterproofing Co., Inc.,
be engaged on a force account day to day basis for Exterior
Renovation to City Hall and Central Fire Station described
as Field Orders No.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 attached hereto as
Exhibit "A", "B", "C", "D", "E" and "F" and the Mayor of the
City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, is hereby authorized and
directed, on behalf of the City of Paris, to execute said
Field Orders.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of
the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone be, and he is empowered
to cancel any or all of said Field Orders at any stage of
their completion with or without the advice of the City
Council.
