Notice is hereby given that the Charter Review Committee of the City of Paris shall meet at
5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021. The meeting will be held in the City Hall
Conference Room, Yd Floor, City Hall, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. Due to the
CoVID outbreak, facemasks are encouraged for those in attendance of the meeting. The
matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows:
1. Call meeting to order and welcome remarks by Commission Chairperson Alix Putnam.
2. Roll call.
3. Remarks by Mayor Paula Portugal.
4. Receive Citizens' input.
(Unless an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Commission
from responding to any comments)
5. Introductions of Commission Members, City Staff and Consultant.
6. Consider election of a Vice -Chairperson.
7. Consider a meeting time for future Commission meetings.
8. Consider establishing a quorum number for future Commission meetings.
9. Consider an overview of the current Charter prepared by Consultant Don R. Edmonds
and discuss a tentative schedule by which to comprehensively review the document. (See
the following: Appendix A and Appendix B)
10. Adj ournment.
