1. Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
2. The July 26, 2021 minutes were approved by acclamation.

3. Action was taken on the Certificates of Appropriateness for 508 S. Main
Ms. Elam owner and resident of 508 S. Main St appeared before the commission to
described the rehabilitation projects. The plans are to removing the previous additions
that were not original to the home. The list includes removal of the small car port on
the south side, an entry added to the external front door of the original home that
extends onto the front port, and the west portion of the front porch that has been
enclosed by the previous owner. There will also be a several roof and soffit repairs.
A motion was made to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness as presented by
Commissioner Coyle, seconded by Commissioner Caffey, motion carried
4. Commissioner Emmite made the motion to approve a fagade grant for $1000 to Robyn Elam
for the repairs of the home located at 508 S. Main St. Motion was seconded by
Commissioner Vandiver, motion carried
5. A motion was made by Chairman Dux to approve the Tax Exemption Agreement for the
Rehabilitation of a Historic Structure located at 508 S. Main St. Commissioner Coyle
seconded the motion, motion carried.
6. Ms. Bedford gave an update on events coming up. She requested the Commission look at
forming a committee to begin the National Register boundary updates. This item will be
added to the future agenda.
