1987-063-RES WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Historical Landmark Preservation
RESOLUTION NO, 87-063
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of
the Historical Landmark Preservation Commission of the City
of Paris due to the resignation of Margie Lou Hubbard, and
it is necessary to appoint her successor, and
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Jo Miesch, Bill Payne,
Cathie Spearman Swaim, Lowry Carrington, A. W. Clem, IV.,
Dr. Don Black, F. I. McClanahan and Larry McDowell as
members of the Historical Landmark Preservation Commission
of the City of Paris, will expire on June 30, 1987; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe
Burnett, does hereby recommend the appointment of Debbie
Burks, representing the Lamar County Historical Society, to
serve the unexpired term of Margie Lou Hubbard, which ends
June 30, 1988, the re-appointment of Jo Miesch, as a member
of the board of directors of a local financial institution;
Lowry Carrington, as a Realtor; Dr. Don Black, as a member
of the Lamar County Genealogy Society; F. I. McClanahan and
Larry McDowell, as members at large; and the appointments of
Ed Ellis, as a member of the Lamar County Bar Association;
and Rick Powell, as a member with nursery and/or landscape
interest; for a term of two (2) years, beginning July 1,
1987, and ending June 30, 1989; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the appointment of Debbie Burks, representing
the Lamar County Historical Society, to serve the unexpired
term of Margie Lou Hubbard which ends June 30, 1988 and the
re-appointment of Jo Miesch, as a member of the board of
directors of a local financial institution; Lowry
Carrington, as a Realtor; Dr. Don Black, as a member of the
Lamar County Genealogy Society; F. I. McClanahan and Larry
McDowell, as members at large; and the appointment of Ed
Ellis, as a member of the Lamar County Bar Association; and
Rick Powell, as a member with nursery and/or landscape
interest, for a term of two (2) years, beginning July 1,
1987, and ending June 30, 1989, to serve as members of the
Historical Landmark Preservation Commission of the City of
Paris, be, and the same are hereby approved and confirmed by
the City Council of the City of Paris.
