1987-131-RES WHEREAS, the terms of office of Wayne Brown, Alton Hess, Rayburn Bell and George Crane as members RESOLUTION NO. 87-131 WHEREAS, the terms of office of Wayne Brown, Alton Hess, Rayburn Bell and George Crane as members of the Building Commission of the City of Paris, will expire on December 31, 1987; and, WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the Building Commission as a result of the retirement of Morris Misso, who serves as a Commercial Builder, and it is necessary to appoint his successor, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, having appointed Chip Harper to serve the unexpired term of Morris Misso, which ends December 31, 1989, and has submitted the same of such person to the City Council of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Building Commission of the City of Paris since the representative for Southwestern Bell Telephone has moved out of the State and it is necessary to appoint his successor, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, having appointed Bill Boothe to serve until his successor is appointed and has submitted the name of such person to the City Council of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, does hereby recommend the re-appointment of Wayne Brown as Homebuilder, Alton Hess as Plumber, and Rayburn Bell as Realtor, for a term of two (2) years, beginning January I, 1988, and ending December 31, 1989; and does hereby recommend the re-appointment of George Crane as Electrician, for a term of four (4) years, beginning January I, 1988, and ending December 31, 1991; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the re-appointment of Wayne Brown, Alton Hess and Rayburn Bell to serve as members of the Building Commission of the City of Paris for a term of two (2) years, beginning January I, 1988, and ending December 31, 1989; and the re-appointment of George Crane, to serve as a member of the Building Commission of the City of Paris, for a term of four (4) years, beginning January 1, 1988, and ending December 31, 1991, be, and the same are hereby approved and confirmed by the City Council of the City of Paris. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the appointment of Chip Harper, as a member of the Building Commission of the City of Paris, to serve the unexpired term of Morris Misso, which ends December 31, 1989, is by the City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed.
