SUBJECT: WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT PRESENTATION

BACKGROUND:
The Agreement for Professional Services contract with Garver, for the wastewater treatment
facility comprehensive rehabilitation project, was approved by City Council at the February 8,
2021 meeting.
STATUS OF ISSUE:
Upon receiving contract approval from City Council, Garver began the preliminary design phase
of the project. During this time, Utilities Department staff have conducted monthly planning
workshops with the Garver engineering team to coordinate design of the wastewater treatment
facility. Garver delivered the preliminary design report, 30% engineering drawings, and draft
front-end specifications and contract documents to the City on 09/10/2021. Reaching this
milestone in the project is an appropriate time to update City Council on the progress to date,
proposed facilities, construction phasing and the path moving forward. The Garver team will be
providing a presentation for City Council.
