Notice is hereby given that the Charter Review Committee of the City of Paris shall meet at
5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021. The meeting will be held in the Gallery at the
Paris Public Library, 326 S. Main, in Paris, Texas. Due to the CoVID outbreak facemasks
are encouraged for those in attendance of the meeting. The matters to be discussed and
acted upon are as follows:
1. Call meeting to order by Commission Chairperson Alix Putnam.
2. Roll call and declaration of a quorum.
3. Receive Citizens' input.
(Unless an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Commission
from responding to any comments)
4. Consider approval of the minutes of the Commission meeting on October 4, 2021. (See
Appendix A)
5. In connection with Sec. 18, consider the Consultant's survey of compensation for city
councils in various area cities. (See Appendix B)
6. Reconsider the previously proposed amendatory language in Sec. 38, concerning disabled
employees, pensions and insurance.
7. Consider amendatory language proposed by the Consultant in Articles V, VI, and VII.
(See Appendix C)
8. Adjournment.
