1986-039-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is aware of community needs for which local funds have

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is aware
of community needs for which local funds have not been and
will not be available to accomplish. Such needs are in the
area of utility upgrading, street paving, and housing
rehabilitation; and,
WHEREAS, funding for such programs are available
through the Texas Department of Community Affairs under the
Texas Community Development Program; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Director of Community Development, Joe
McCollum, be, and he is authorized to develop plans for a
grant application including recommending dates for necessary
public hearings for presentation to the City Council at its
regular meeting in June in order that the City Council can
determine whether such grant application should be made.
